The creative process is one of discovery and as an artist where I intend to go is not necessarily where I end up. I had been working mostly with square or rectangular pieces of felt and simply wanted something long and narrow that would provide other visual options. What I ended up with was two felted pieces, each encasing forms reminiscent of anemones. Left uncut with natural edges that result from the felting process and mounted on a wood canvas where the painted grain has been used to emphasize the habitat in which they float.
